Keshley in the News!

Keshley can now check one of her goals off for basketball this season. . . she was in the paper this week, twice! Here is the link to her pic from the Deseret News here (that is really Kesh and not Megan Terry)
Taylorsville's Brooke Slade (center) fights for the ball with Herriman's Bri Sorenson and Megan Terry on Thursday.

and the Salt Lake Tribune here.

Rock on Kesh!

Basketball

I always thought watching my kids play sports was supposed to be fun. . . that was until yesterday. Kazen had a basketball game in Sandy and kids were starting to get hurt because of lack of calls, so I was a little upset. The ref came over to me and told me to calm down and I told him I would when he would start calling the game so kids did not get hurt. I don't know what is wrong with me. I am not a yeller, but competitive sports bring out the worst in me I guess. Needless to say, I will not be going back to Kazen's game in Sandy because I am now in the "Out of control fan club."

My Beauty. . .

Well it came and went so quickly that I forgot to blog this significant moment. . . Keshley turned 16.  I am amazed at how time has gone so fast.  How did we get here?  I still feel like a teenager at heart, the only thing that forces me into reality are those little stray gray hairs that I find once in a while, but I show them. . . I don't let them get more than an inch long before I cause their untimely demise and yank 'em out!

What were we talking about?  Oh yeah, Kesh.  What a beautiful young woman she has turned out to be, and her drive to be the best and do the best astounds me!  She is such a wonderful role model to Ella who adores her.  I love her spirit!  I love you, Kesh!

Mr. Snowplow Man

Oh, Mr. Snowplow Man,
come plow my streets.
Last-minute shopping
I have to complete.
Yet when I attempt to drive to the store,
crazy people pass by me going 64!
They forget when you push on the brakes in the snow
flying into the intersection most likely you will go.
Here I have lived for over 10 years,
but driving in the winter is still my biggest fear. . . (s).
I know I put this off 'til the very last day,
but I am a procrastinator, what more can I say?
All I am asking is for a good plow and some salt
'cause if there are no presents it will be Mr. Snowplow Man's fault.

Kazen's baptism. . . From July, oops!

If you know me, you know that although I have very good intentions, I am not very good at doing things, like blogging, in a timely manner. Kazen was baptized in July by my brother. He made the choice and the missionaries came and taught him. He learned so much from the missionaries. He really liked Elder Baker (center). They got a little competetive with basketball after the discussions. What a great missionary! Elder Eckols (hilarious!) is on the left and Elder Heaton on the right.
